Greetings From the Principal
Greetings, Kia ora from Western Heights Primary School.
On behalf of the Board of Trustees and Staff we welcome you to our school web site.
We are a Waitakere City school at the back of Henderson on the lower hills of the Waitakere Ranges.
Our school Mission Statement: [Western Heights School]...aims for excellence in all learning and teaching. We foster a desire to learn within a stimulating and caring environment.
This mission statement forms the foundation for the education we provide for our students in partnership with our community, and forms the basis for our charter. At the school we endeavour always to ensure that each student receives the highest quality education possible and we urge parents and caregivers to join with us in promoting excellence.
As the Principal I am proud of the excellent staff and the facilities provided by a very supportive Board of Trustees.
Students here are provided with a sound basic education as well as value added new initiatives undertaken to enhance the New Zealand curriculum.
Parents and caregivers are welcome to approach the school at anytime if there are any issues or questions to be addressed.
New parents to the school are invited to seminars and tours around the school for ease of induction for the new pupil.
We do have an enrolment scheme in place that specifies the school zone. Please contact the school for more details.
