Week 9, Term 3 2011

Kia ora parents, caregivers and friends of the school,

As this is the last newsletter for the term, I wish to thank all those who have supported the children and teachers in many ways during a very busy learning term culminating in our parent conferences.  The children take great pride and pleasure in sharing their accomplishments with you and have a clear idea of what they would like to achieve next term.  With a shorter term in Term 4 the Management team are already planning towards 2012 and I know that our focus on Curriculum Mapping and Inquiry Learning/Teaching will continue to provide strong learning experiences for children and teachers alike.

The term finishes next week, have a wonderful holiday, keep safe and we look forward to seeing you all in Term 4, which begins on Tuesday 25 October.

Black Fever by "The Minstrel"

The School Council were visitors at the Board meeting last week.  Each year the School Council attend a board meeting to present a report on what their activities for the year have been.  They presented a garden design for the senior school and requested some support for funding.  The council have raised over $4 000.00, so the board were happy to give them an additional $2 000.00 towards their project.
