Homework
This year we are changing the way we do homework.
Each week your child will be expected to read for at least 15 minutes and complete the home reading log. Basic Facts sheets will also need to be completed daily. Home Learning challenges are being developed and further information will be available once we have confirmed the challenges.
SUNHATS - School policy- no hat no play. Please ensure your child has a suitable sunhat for school.
Water Bottles Please ensure your child has a reusable bottle filled with water.
Swimming has begun. Please ensure children have their togs and towels on the necessary days. Room 19 on Monday and Thursday, Room 20 on Thursday and Friday, Room 21 on Tuesday and Thursday, Room 22 on Tuesday and Friday, Room 23 on Tuesday and Wednesday, Room 24 on Wednesday and Friday, and Room 25 on Wednesday and Friday.
Sport T Shirts
The senior school is divided into sports houses. The teams wear the T shirt on Tuesday for syndicate sport. Each team has a specified colour which has the house name printed on the front (e.g. Kowhai has a yellow T shirt). The cost of the T shirt is $15. Please order using an envelope with the child's name and class space.
Other events
The senior school will be visiting the Maritime museum and cruising out on the harbour on the Ted Ashby in week 6.
During the term are cluster swimming sports, softball/ T ball tournament, wheels day, a basic facts challenge, and senior syndicate disco.
Reminder: Teacher Only Day 25th March.
