Room 17 Has Had A Very Busy Term 3
Room 17 have had an exciting term
We have been very creative with material and we started off by making scrap bags. They were little bean bags made with spare pieces of material and using buttons or felt for the eyes, nose and mouth.
Once we finished practicing on our scrap bag we went on to
making a Rugby World Cup Mascot. We chose one country to support that was being represented in the Rugby World Cup.
First we used a ball shape template or a rectangle. Nilam decided to make a dolphin shaped mascot. We used the colours represented in the country's flag or jersey. The countries which we chose were NZ, Australia, Samoa, France and England. Molly even made one side All Blacks and the other side Warriors.
It took us 3 weeks to complete all of our mascots. We are very grateful that we had help from Molly's mum Julie, Molly's nana and Seibons mum Hayley as there was a lot involved. Mrs Buckingham ended up sewing her finger, gluing her fingers and pricking her fingers with needles. Her fingers are ready for a holiday!!!
