Week 5, Term 2, 2009

Kia ora parents, caregivers and friends of the school,

Reminder: this was in your 14 May Newsletter Teacher Only Day:  School will be closed next Tuesday 2 June for Teachers Only Day.  All staff will be at St Dominics for the day.

The Pod B children moved into the remodelled rooms this week and they are so excited.  The heating system is not up and running  for another week but the spaces all seem quite warm.  We are encouraging children to remove their shoes when going into the new rooms and are happy to have slippers or warm socks worn while inside. The cleaners are happy as there are no urinals in the new junior toilet block. These were some what smelly at times and used a great deal of water.  Many boys did not know how to use them correctly so we are happy to have normal bathroom facilities.

School Cross Country Afternoon:  Tomorrow at 1p.m.

A note went home this week with details of the school cross country to be held tomorrow.  All children can take part and you are most welcome to come and watch.Lunchtime will be 12 noon to 1p.m. so that the afternoon is lengthened.  If it is a wet day we will have the event on Friday 5 June.
