Building Update
Parents, teachers and children have had to cope with a huge muddy mess at the back of the old administration block in the last two weeks. The main power source from the road is being replaced as the previous wiring was not providing enough power safely for all the electrical activity that a modern school does.
Thirty years ago, when the school was built, there were only 8 classrooms and it was before the introduction of computers, interactive white boards and other IT equipment. The phone cables were cut in the process and we were without phones for half a day, so it was very quiet. Thank goodness for cell phones, so we still had contact with the outside world in case of an emergency.

All the teachers in the junior area received awards on Friday for their patience and support during the junior block building programme.

Children and money – learning about credit
From the National Bank – our School Banking partner
To help teach children the value of money, consider a ‘no credit’ policy. That means not lending them money ‘in advance’ to buy things. Insisting that they save the amount they need before buying will help avoid the temptation to rely on credit to get what they want, and ensure they can afford it. Just a small deposit each week will quickly add up. Don't forget, come and see us at School Banking in the Hall every Wednesday from 8.30a.m. - 8.55a.m.
