My Mission to Make a Mermaid
By M'ryah, Year 3, C.S.13
When I went to the damp sand me and my friend Britney tried to make a mermaid, but unfortunately our spade broke.  We had an idea to put the shimmering purple broken spade into the face as eyes.  After we finished the mermaid we felt surprised.
Thousands of Rain Drops!
By Boris, Year 4, C.S.13
The fancy children stare at the huge ocean for a long time.  They are waiting for Mrs Jerkovich to open the gates to let them in the freezing ocean.  They scream, squeal and look like gigantic laid eggs which explode into lots and lots of children.  As they splash into the huge ocean, they waddle around in the water like swimming ducklings.  The ducklings swim in the ocean for hours and hours.  After all that hard work, they waddle out of the ocean and dry themselves.  They think that the ocean water is freezing!  The waddle back into the ocean and they don't see that a gigantic wave is hurtling towards them.  The wave pushes the ducklings back out of the ocean water.
Salty Seaweed Water
By Sagrika, Year 4, C.S.13
We sprint into the water as Mrs Jerkovich commands us to go. We Squeal like dolphins and seagulls.  Mrs Hewetson laughs.  All the children with their friends.  They start jumping as the gigantic waves push them back.  I see people going to the deep side and laughing to the parents as big waves bang on their backs.  The parents hold us up like they are Kings of the world and discover they are too old.  They throw the person into the air and the person falls down.  As you go down the seaweed tangles up on your leg so you untangle it and jump up.
The Major Wave of the Ocean!
By Samuel, Year 4, C.S.13
The crashing waves are strong like the muscles of an arm.  They force me to jump into the sun.  As I am power walking throught the shimmery cold ocean, I can see a ruthless adult throwing people by their legs.  I ask him to do it to me and he does.  He throws me out of the sea straight to the shallow parts.  I'm hearing a whirl and I think I'm doing a back flip.  Now I ask Mr Noakes.  He puts me into a harmless gridlock then grabs me by the foot and shoots me like I'm a bullet through the sea.  He pulls my leg like an octopus grabbing me, sucking me by its hole.  My friend is still grabbing me, lifting me up and body slamming me in to the sea.  I expected it was a teacher.
