Kia ora Parents, Caregivers and Friends of the school,
As part of our compliance here at school we must have a fire drill every term. The fire bell goes and the children file out to the field to line up in front of the senior playground to be counted. On Tuesday the senior school’s ‘hobo stoves’ set off the smoke alarms and all children went out to the assembly point at about 2.45p.m.If you are in the school grounds during one of these evacuations you are required to also join the group just the same as if you are in the supermarket or Mall and the alarms go off. Your support in this matter would be appreciated.
Art Intensive
Last week was an amazing week for both the children and teachers. Children were all around the school working with teachers whom they don’t usually work with doing art and craft activities. It was wonderful to see the way the juniors were helped and supported by the older students and the ‘artefacts’ produced are amazing. The quality work from all ages is very impressive. We look forward to displaying these for you in week six on Wednesday 19 November from 3p.m. to 7p.m. More details will be in the next newsletter.
Photographs
The Nil Tolerance To Truancy group in Waitakere city are preparing a brochure for the families of preschoolers. It is to stress the importance of coming to school and the excitement of being five.Photos are needed for the graphic designer and I have been asked to supply some pictures of our fabulous children. I plan to take many photos and when the ones to be used are decided, I will contact the parents for permission.
