Kia ora Parents, Caregivers and Friends of the school,
It appears that many of the children and staff were sick over the holidays and with the weather being so cold, I can understand why. I was in Christchurch for the New Zealand Principals Federation Conference and it was very icy and cold, so novel for an Aucklander to walk about a city during a snow storm, but the novelty wore off fast.Terry and I were lucky to spend some additional days in the South Island and got to go Whale watching at Kaikoura and horse trekking in the snow at Hamner. New Zealand has so much to offer with contrasts that are awesome.
The school student council are excited as we are planning a trip to Wellington for them at the end of November. They are arranging their itinerary and I am organising with our local members of parliament for a tour of the Bee Hive.
We have many interesting activities planned for this term to support our learning and teaching programmes. All details of these will come to you via syndicate notices.
