Class Space 23

Welcome to Class Space 23's web page!

We are a class of year 2,3,and 4's. Our teacher is Mrs Jerkovich.

In the first term we looked at school in the early days.  We studied how children went to school and the subjects they learnt about.  We even had a day where we dressed up and had an olden day school programme as they would have in those days.  We prefer the smiling Mrs Jerkovich to the strict teacher she was that day! Aren't we lucky to be going to school in the 21st century!

Last term our topic was "FLYING AND FALLING".  We created some flying kites and experimented with how things fly. Also our class made a birdman kite at the Corban Estate Art Centre, and it is proudly hanging in our classroom!

This term, we are focusing on Health topics.  We will learn about what food is good to eat to fuel our body and brain to help us learn.  Then we will be working with Constable Stace, who will be teaching about ways to "keep ourselves safe".

At the end of term 1, we planted spring bulbs.  Now after term 2, CS23 botanists are very excited about their progress, keeping a weekly diary to note their growth.  They have lots of leaves at the moment and hopefully in spring they will have lots of flowers!
