Class Space 11

Welcome to the CS11 web page.  We are a year 3  and four class with 27 pupils all busily engaged in learning.

The winter term has been and gone during which Cs11 went to Corban's art centre to make a huge Maori kite.  This was a wonderful activity for the children to learn about team work, as when we all did a section of the kite and worked hard it came together as a product to be proud of. 

So far in term three we have been learning about healthy food and you might have noticed that your children are asking for healthy choices in their lunch boxes and are reading the labels to see if the food is high in sugar and fats.  I noticed a change in the amount of processed foods being brought to school, an attitude we would like to promote to keep our children healthy. 

We have been learning our Te Reo Kori activities which have become a tradition in Middle School when we can't get out on the field for sports.  All the classes are enjoying this and the year 4 students are great teachers for the younger ones.

Cs 11 children will be asking for a little help with speeches.  We have been practising writing a speech at school.  Each child will be writing and presenting a speech about an issue.  They will need your ideas and someone to practise on!
