Twin Streams Planting
The senior classes have made visits to our local Opunuku Stream to help rebuild our local bush, in order to help keep the stream clean and healthy!
All the trips were muddy, but loads of fun! The kids planted native trees, learnt about how maori in the past have used the forest to survive, and they even learnt how to call birds using a leaf to whistle through!
A special thanks to Annie, Bruce, Ricky, Chris and Melanie, who organised these fabulous trips and the special opportunity to help with the rebuilding of our local bush and stream.
