Celebrating Cultural Diversity
On Friday 24 August our school celebrated our fabulous range of cultural diversity. Children were encouraged to dress in culturally significant clothing and bring a plate of cultural food to share.
We had a great assembly show casing some school cultural groups including our Indian dancing, Kapa Haka, Poi dancing, Junior Jump Jam and a Croatian Dance group.
Our lunch included many delicacies as seen below in the pictures. We enjoyed Maori Bread, Kumara, Mussels and Raw Fish. A beautiful selection of fresh Pacific Island fruit such as pineapple, mango and green coconut. Indian Rice and Roti Bread. Croatian Oil Cakes, Kiwi Pavs and Dutch biscuits. Chop suey and Rice. YUM!
