#4 - 20th June, Week 9

Kia ora Parents, Caregivers and Friends of the school

On Saturday, Terry and I went to our local stream for a community tree planting.  It was a very enjoyable heartfelt experience to be planting native trees along with a large group of families from the district.  The area by the stream was transformed during the morning with the addition of 1500 plants.  Here at school we are now part of the Twin Streams Project and the senior school is leading the activity as an environmental study.  I will inform you of any community plantings that we are doing so that you can all come along.  A section of the stream on the way to the Corban’s Centre has been reserved for us to plant and maintain.
