Hi and welcome to Class Space 8’s webpage.

We have been busy creating and making lots of exciting things this term. If you come into our art area you will see we are in the middle of creating some amazing paper mache kiwi’s. It has been a long process for us but we can’t wait for the finished result.

Hanging up in our classroom are our pastel and dye kiwi pictures. They look wonderful!
We have had a real kiwi focus this term and everyone has enjoyed hearing the story of how the
kiwi lost its wings. We have retold it in our own words and discussed the meaning of the story to
us.

If you pop in and see us in the morning when the bell rings you won’t find us in our classroom.
This is because we are always in the hall starting the day with Jump Jam. It is a great way to
warm up and get our brains into action for a day of fun-filled learning. We would love you to come over and join in with us. Did you know that we have learnt 18 Jump Jam songs so far and we have many more to go! The children in C.S.8 have lots of personal favourites. What is your favourite?

We have lots of things coming up in term 4 to keep us busy. The highlight will be when
the weather starts to warm up again and we can get outside a lot more. We need to remember to
put on our hats when this happens.
Everyone knows how to slip, slop, slap!
