Class Space 12

Teacher: Joanne Hodder
Year: Three & Four

Welcome to Class Space 12's web page!

We have had a wonderful term 3 studying sustainability in our Science topic “Help! Save our forests”. Each child made a speech to the class on the importance of saving the forests of our country and the world. We wrote a class narrative and our own stories too. But our favourite was the painting skills we learnt while painting lizards and our clay wall hangings. We also used the computers to make our own pictures using Microsoft Paint.

In term 4 we are now 27 children with 2 new girls joining us at the end of term 3. This is an exciting term as we wind up the year with an interesting social sciences study of money. We will be making aboriginal ‘dot’ artwork on calendars for gifts and writing personal and expressive poems. We currently have 28 children in our room. We come from many countries around the world like; Korea, China, Hawaii, South Africa, England and The Czech Republic, but most of us were born in New Zealand.

In sports we will practice our athletics skills while in computer we will be using Microsoft Publisher to make cards and calendars. It will be an exciting term and fun too as we can get outside again and play!
